#10 Bus Line – Melrose Avenue – Temple Street
The #10 MTA Bus Line operates between West Hollywood and Downtown LA throughout Melrose Avenue and Temple Street. Most trips are interlined with Line 48 in Downtown LA and continue to, or originate from, Avalon Station. Owl service terminates at the Beverly Red Line Station. Some trips terminate at Vine Street in South Hollywood.
A single ride on a Metro bus or train costs $1.50. Transfers from the Metro to local municipal lines cost $.35. Purchase a TAP Card for day and week passes, which offer better rates, at 8272 Santa Monica Blvd or 8969 Santa Monica Blvd. Find more TAP card outlets at the TAP website (taptogo.net/tap/locator) .
Rapid Buses have fewer stops and are limited on the weekends. Local buses make more stops and run on a regular weekend schedule. Check for holiday schedules for all public transportation lines. Travel times were provided by the Los Angeles Metro and are intended only as approximations.

If you want to get a little exercise while getting around West Hollywood, rent a bike or take a sightseeing tour with Bikes and Hikes. Their “LA in a Day” Tour – a 32 mile journey lasting approximately 5 hours 30 minutes – begins in West Hollywood, going through Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, and Culver City.

Another transportation option is to take a Starline Tours ”Hop On Hop Off” bus. The company runs six different routes which serve the most notable parts of the Los Angeles area, including West Hollywood, Hollywood, North Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, downtown Los Angeles, Venice and Marina Del Rey.

Last night the pain and frustration gripping the country boiled over. Unfortunately, Melrose was hit hard with break-ins and looting. The damage to our small businesses is heartbreaking, especially in the midst of Corona Virus. We must also remember George Floyd and the grotesque injustice that started this uprising in the first place.
