Make The Best Of Thanksgiving 2020 With Delicious Food And Drinks From The Melrose Arts District

Yep, it’s going to be a different kind of Thanksgiving this year. No matter how you decide to safely enjoy the holiday – with your family, your pod, or on Zoom – the businesses in the Melrose Arts District are working hard to provide all you need to fill your belly and feed your soul. Thank you for the continued support of all the businesses on Melrose Avenue – our community appreciates you, and looks forward to supporting you through the holiday season.

Now, on to the good stuff….

Coffee for Sasquatch

Every day should start with a good breakfast, even a holiday. And if you’re responsible for meal prep, you’re also going to need an early morning energy boost. So head over to Coffee for Sasquatch and pick up an iced oat pumpkin spice latte and a slice of pumpkin loaf bread.

Standings Butchery

If you’re a meat eater, your Thanksgiving meal deserves the best meat: ethically sourced, sustainably raised and thoughtfully curated by this independently operated butchery. In addition to meat and poultry, the folks at Standing’s are a one-stop shop with bread, dairy, seasonings, and a well-stocked pantry.

M Café

And if you’re not a meat eater, M Café has a traditional – but largely plant based – Thanksgiving menu to order à la carte or as a complete dinner box. Choices include spiced pumpkin hummus, butternut squash and apple bisque, seitan turkey roast, bread stuffing, and mashed sweet potatoes. Place that order by Monday, 11/23!

Melrose Umbrella Company

You know who else is making Thanksgiving easier for you? Melrose Umbrella Company. You can get all the goods – roasted turkey breast, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashies – as a full dinner with dessert for two or four or order your favorites à la carte. Also there’s booze: loaded eggnog, and/or a mulled wine kit. Order by 11/23!

Domaine LA

Speaking of booze, Domaine LA’s door is open to satisfy your holiday alcohol needs. All the wines in all the shades (including the above pictured organic red from Somer’s Vineyard in Lodi California), beers, and spirits. The good folks here can make well-educated recommendations to go with your meal, too.

Milk Bar

Just going to put this here because it’s the very extra dessert that your meal deserves. Introducing the pumpkin dulce de leche cake: cinnamon spice cake with rich pumpkin frosting, gooey dulche de leche drizzle, crunchy milk crumbs, and toasted pepitas. Order in advance to not get shut out on this magnificent thing.
